DIRECTIONS TO HOWTOWN COTTAGES, THE FLAT AND LOW GALE:
FROM THE NORTH:
At Junction 40 follow the signs for Ullswater and onto Pooley Bridge. Cross the newly constructed bridge and travel through the village to the small roundabout. The road to Howtown is signposted.
FROM THE SOUTH:
If you are travelling North up the M6 then get off the motorway at Junction 39 and travel up the A6 through the villages of Shap and Hackthorpe, as you enter Eamont Bridge from the South turn left at the roundabout – the Crown Hotel is on the right – travel through the villages of Yanwath and Tirril. The road to Howtown is signposted on the left.
